A hidden treasure of Penang “Blue Mansion”
Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion in George Town, Penang is a symbolic architect from Pranakan culture.
The mansion Cheong Fatt Tze built in early 20th century, called “Blue Mansion” because of the outer wall color.
It’s been restored as a part of heritage projects, and selected as Best project by UNESCO Cultural Heritage Protection Project in 2000.
It’s been in the movie “Indochin”, which Catherine Deneuve has starred. Its atmosphere is a mixture of China and Europe, gorgeously built with Feng Shui applied. The mansion reflects Cheong’s precise admiration of the culture and quality.
